Fruit Grilling Guide

Grilling fruit is as easy as it gets and a great addition to any meal, as it can be used as an appetizer,  side dish, or even dessert! The grilling process caramelizes the natural sugars of the fruit, giving a distinctive flavor.

It’s best to use fruit that is firm and will hold its shape such as apples, pears, or pineapples. However, if you leave the peels on citrus fruits and bananas they will stay firm enough to grill.

To get the most out of your fruit grilling experience, soak the fruit in just enough ice cold water to fully submerge the fruit for 20-30 minutes, adding a teaspoon of lemon juice for every cup of water you add. This will help preserve coloring and flavor while grilling.

When adding the fruit to the grill make sure the grilling surface is clean as you don’t want the fruit to take on any residual grilling flavors.

The most important part of grilling fruit is to have fun and be creative!
